Road Warriors

After I gave Isaac a shower this evening, he gave me this one out of the blue:

Isaac: Dad, I've had it with you. That's it. In 4 more minutes, I'm done.
Me: OK. Why?
Isaac: I'm gonna get out of this place after I brush my teeth.
Me: Where are you going?
Isaac: To grammy and pappy's.
Me: Oh.
Isaac: How do you get there?
Me: You take 81 to 322 to 235.
Isaac: Will you take me?
Me: Yes.

  1. I love how precise he is... "In four minutes." Over the weekend, he asked me to come to his house "in four days". What a neat kid.

  2. Classic. I also like the 4-minute precision. This sounds a lot like when David told his son to brush his teeth and Harry said to him: "Get away from me with your stupid ideas...." Seems the teeth-brushing time in a young man's life arouses dissent...
